The first three keyboard players who played with 'The Downliners Sect', one of the seminal British R&B bands (who are still performing today), were: John Paul Jones (recording only) later with 'Led Zeppelin', Matthew Fisher (later with 'Procul Harum') and then Baz Cooper.

Baz owes Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, cheese on toast and a cuppa!

Not so strange: Baz is a fan of Jimi Hendrix.  Stranger: Jimi was a fan of Baz and sought him out to tell him!

Baz co-wrote a song with Lionel Bart, who was rather better known for writing 'Oliver'
